The 16mm Test Tube produced by Aijiren is often used for chemical oxygen demand (COD) testing. This test can predict the oxygen demand of wastewater, monitor and control emissions, and evaluate the performance of the treatment plant. The chemical oxygen demand test is usually carried out in the laboratories of water companies and industrial companies.

Aijiren has launched COD test tubes of multiple sizes in order to adapt to different models and brands of machines. The caliber is a uniform 16mm, but the sizes are 9ml, 10ml, 12ml and 15ml respectively. The 9ml COD test tube has a flat bottom, the 10ml COD test tube has a flat bottom and a round bottom, and the 12ml and 15ml COD test tubes have a round bottom.

The use process of COD Test Tube is usually to add water or fresh water sample to a 16mm glass culture tube containing digestion agent and catalyst. Tighten and seal with polypropylene pipe lined with polypropylene lining, and heat in a block digester at 150°C for 2 hours.

Therefore, the COD Test Tube and PP Screw Cap produced by Aijiren can withstand high temperatures and will not change shape under high temperature heating. And the sealing of the thread diameter is very tight, even if the sample in the test tube needs to be mixed and shaken strongly, there will be no leakage of the sample.

It is worth emphasizing that these COD test tubes can only be used once and cannot be reused. Used COD test tubes contain strong sulfuric acid and other chemicals, so reagents must be handled carefully. The chemicals in the pipeline should be disposed of in accordance with the requirements of local authorities. Aijiren’s test tubes have passed ISO certification.
