Used with 9mm short-thread autosampler vials, this product creates a good seal and mechanically holds the septum in place during puncture. Threaded caps are available with an open opening or an optional solid top for sample storage. PTFE/Silicone Septa his product uses PTFE/natural silicone composition. High quality silicone pressed onto PTFE. PTFE combined with natural silicone. Excellent for needle penetration and the product of choice for HPLC and GC applications. PTFE is known as the "King of Plastics". It is a material with good chemical conditions and can withstand strong acids and alkalis. Silicone has very good sealing properties. The combination of the two is the perfect solution for a variety of laboratory uses including sealed sampling, chemical storage, and more. Supports pre-cut seams for easy piercing.
