The 13mm screw vial cap can have an opening for autosampler use and standard addition, or it can have a solid top cap for storing samples. One-piece polypropylene caps and membranes are also available. These pierceable screw caps are designed for one-time use, and because there are no caps and seals to assemble, the sample preparation time is reduced.
